Small (But Tall) BookTuber Tag

Welcome back to my channel.

If this is your first time here, my name is Andrew, if this is not your first time here, welcome back.

I love you.

Today, I'm just going to be doing my little Small Booktuber Tag.

Liz over at Galactic Reads tagged me to do this like two months ago.

I finally have the time to fit it in, and as of this recording I now have two other videos that I've been tagged in, so I'm gonna try and start getting all of those out of the way.

I've just been super busy this month with that readathon going on over at the Shelf Space Discord. If you are not with us on that Discord, you're missing out.

Anyway, apart from all of that, I'm not gonna waste any time, let's get Write On In.

Okay, so there's just six questions here, so I'm just going to go through them as fast as I can get it out of the way.

First one is simply just "Introduce Yourself."

I just gave you my name a minute ago, I am Andrew.

Here's three fun facts about me:

I am just under six foot six.

I was born and raised in Yosemite but I now live in Monterey, California.

And I am an Eagle Scout.

I hope that's sufficient enough.

Number two, how long have you been on BookTube?

I guess technically this is my first month with BookTube-forward content.

Then, the next question is what type of videos do you make, so I guess I'll kind of answer that with this.

I make writerly-type videos, bookish type videos, anything to do with the written word.

When I first started in September, which is when this channel started, it was writing only for the first couple of months, especially in November when I did NaNo, but now I'm gonna work on a blend.

So we'll just see where it goes from here.

What do you love about BookTube?

Super easy, I'm just gonna say the exact same thing everybody else says when they're asked this question, and that is the community.

The reason that everybody says that is because it is true, especially over on that Shelf Space Discord.

From what I have found, it's just been so welcoming, everybody, that is part of BookTube loves everybody else in booktube for the most part.

I also love Lezlie's Discord from The Nerdy Narrative, Allenxandria has his own Discord as well for the Knights of Allenxandria…

The more people that I meet and the more people I interact with and the more friends that I make, the more fun all of this just becomes.

At first when I started, I didn't know anybody, and now that I have friends, it just makes it all so much easier to, I don't know, hang out every day on YouTube.

So, the community for sure.

And if you are not part of BookTube, I mean, you're really the one missing out, not me, so…

Next up, what type of books do you read?

I do predominantly read fantasy, horror, thriller-esque types, especially because that's also what I write, but I like anything really.

Especially, like what I was saying with this channel where, as long as it deals with the written word, I guess it would fit into this channel.

But I like poetry, I like screenwriting, I like all that kind of stuff.

So I'm happy to read whatever.

I wish that movie scripts were more available in book format, but you can just go to the Internet Movie Script Database and read them, if you're interested.

But yeah, that's what I read, mostly fantasy, horror, but really I'm kind of open to anything.

Just as I said in my Booktube Newbie Tag, if it is executed well, I like it.

Next up is what is the favorite video that you've made on your channel so far?

It hasn't come out yet, but I think that my answer to this will be my Lord of the Rings movie set expectation versus reality video.

I've recorded that, it was supposed to actually come out right now when this video is coming out, but I've just been really busy with that readathon so I just haven't gotten around to editing it.

It has been filmed, but just not edited yet, but I think that one will be my favorite.

At the moment, I think it might be my Supernatural seasons tier ranking because I love that show and it was my first kind of attempt at making some BookTube-esque content or entertainmenty content.

But, yeah so I would say those.

In the future, I've got a lot planned, and I'll probably switch this answer out for one of those, but I just haven't gotten to them yet.

So last question here is just tag four small BookTube channels or every small BookTuber that you can think of.

I -- everyone that I thought of that I went to go look at has already done this tag, so I'm just going to give a little shout out to a couple of channels that I love that I would love for you to go and check out.

And if any of these channels have not done that tag, then you're tagged.

First one is going to be Rimareads.

As of the recording of this video, she just hit 100 subscribers this morning.

I'm proud of her.

She's hilarious, so go check her out.

Erica over at Geeklet Reads Stuff, she is on my team, Kevin McCallister readathon for the Shelf Space, so I love her.

I love her little West Virginia accent and I love the way she talks about books.

So while you're checking her out, you might as well go and check out my team captain Jeff over at The Fowler Project, and you might as well go check out Joana Sousa as well, who is just another member of my beautiful Kevin McCallister team.

While you're doing all that, you might as well go check out Kate from LoveStory because she's the nicest person in the world.

You might as well go check out Vish over at Books with V because she has got the coolest accent in the world.

You might as well go check out Kirsten The Reading Nymph because she was like the second or third BookTuber that I found and she is one of the few booktubers who I don't talk to outside of YouTube.

And she's hilarious and I love her little British, I don't know, roundups of all the books that she reads.

And then the last one is actually not a BookTuber, he's an AuthorTuber, I've just been trying to find a time to shout him out.

His name is Kieran Westwood, I don't think he's ever going to do this video.

If you are interested in writing videos, especially if you like flash fiction or short story kind of stuff, I definitely recommend checking him out because he's my favorite writer channel.

So, sorry any other writer channel out there, but it's just how it is.

All right.

Well, that was a super fun and quick little tag video.

As I said, I have a couple more coming up this month, I have one from Kayla over at Kraken to a Good Book.

I'm gonna try to squeeze that one in soonish because it's a holiday-themed one so I want to make sure I get that up before Christmas.

And Lezlie over at The Nerdy Narrative also tagged me in a video this morning, so I will put that on my list of videos to get out.

I love being tagged in videos, so I don't know.

If I see the tag, I'm down to do the video, even if it takes me a couple months.

But that'll do for today.

So thank you all so much for watching, I hope you've gotten to know me just a little bit better.

Thank you all so much for accepting me into this community, because I don't know.

I have fun.

Every day has new videos from people for me to watch, and every day has new friends for me to make, so thank you all for letting me be a part of this with you.

And if you have not done this tag video for yourself, and I have not tagged you to do it, please feel free because we're going to be your friend.

I promise.

Even before you're done, I don't know.

But in the meantime, just come hang out with us on Shelf Space.

Okay?

See you next time!
